As BNG’s newest member of the marketing team, the Content Manager will be responsible for growing BNG’s brand identity and online presence through creation of content. This includes developing content strategies, managing content team and contractors, and growing and tracking the overall success of the content division. This role will directly be creating content in the areas of: web copy, emails, SEO, video scripts, press releases, and value added content such as eBooks, white papers, case studies, and other areas as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create and strategize marketing goals and objectives to make sure they are consistent with brand goals
  • Plan and write materials that showcase how our products & services empower prospects to solve issues and achieve their business goals
  • Develop original engagement driven content according to brand standards
  • Delegate and oversee strategies for execution
  • Oversee the day-to-day tasks, duties, schedules, etc. of the content team
  • Facilitate concise, persuasive marketing copy to promote our products & services
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by keeping up with industry trends, conducting market research and engage in our buyers’ communities to aid on content strategy development
  • Formulate a cross-platform content strategy & have the ability to develop and disseminate the strategies
  • Collaborate with multiple marketing team members and contractors within the various marketing specialties
  • Manage multiple projects at once using Asana software to track tasks and communicate with team members
  • Proofread and edit all content for clarity, tone, brand voice, grammar, and spelling including contracted content
  • Define, track, analyze, and execute against KPI’s allowing for continuous improvement and informed decision making
  • Reports findings monthly to brand stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or another related field  
  • 3+ years of content management experience and/or managing contractors   
  • Proficient at Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel & Teams
  • Positive attitude and growth mindset with achievement focus and ability to motivate, guide, and lead a team
  • Highly motivated, dedicated, and dependable self-starter with a focus on completing projects in a timely manner, within scope and with a standard of excellence
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with active listening ability and editing skills
  • Highly collaborative with strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members
  • Strong creative problem solving and research skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Publish blog content in WordPress sites, including sourcing images as needed
  • Understanding and interpretation of Google Analytics
  • Understand and have experience working with SEO, including keyword planning and SEO editing
  •  Experience working with MailChimp, Active Campaign and WordPress platforms
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to work through ambiguity in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
