The Financial Controller leads the accounting tasks and financial reporting activities that support the long-term financial health of the organization. This position communicates consistently across departments and management levels and uses high-level analytical skills to guide decision making. What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and manage all accounting and finance operations including A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, expense management and revenue recognition
  • Supervise the activities of all accounting staff
  • Prepare and present the monthly financial statements in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain accurate accounting and business process documentation to ensure control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Coordinate and support month- and year-end close processes, including external audit support
  • Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
  • Research and apply technical accounting guidance in accordance with GAAP
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal government reporting and tax requirements
  • Act in accordance with TrueIT’s core values and code of business conduct

Your skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Previous experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role
  • Licensed CPA or CMA
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Experience in Microsoft GP or Dynamics Business Central highly preferred
  • Experience with multiple legal entities
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP
  • Managerial skills and be able to function in a supervisory role
  • Experience with general ledger functions, close processes, and financial statements
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, Dynamics CRM, and ConnectWise
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
  • Maintained knowledge of current accounting and industry trends
  • Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to understand broader financial and industry context
  • Excellent communication with interpersonal skills that emphasize emotional intelligence
