As a POS/Payments Support Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to merchant questions, inquires, and requests via phone calls, tickets in our CRM, and during product installations with the goal of providing our merchants with support, training, and product knowledge.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide customer support and assist in addressing the needs of our POS and payment clients via the telephone, email, and ticketing system
  • Assist in account maintenance items related to ACH and Credit Card accounts
  • Program, support, and train customers on the BNG Gateway, Desktop terminals, and point of sale systems (RM and Duet mainly)
  • Complete implementations of POS systems onsite at client’s business locations
  • Perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting complex technical issues and report back to team and customer
  • Perform on-call customer and client support on a rotating schedule
  • Collaborate with sales and technical team to escalate issues as needed
  • Update technical documentation and FAQs
  • Perform additional tasks and/or duties as assigned

Your skills and qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of customer support experience required
  • Previous work experience in technology field desired
  • Happy, patient, and empathetic personality
  • Interest in technology and software
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with active listening ability
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to complete tasks according to established timelines and quality standards
  • Previous exposure or experience with CRM preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
